On March 20, Disney California Adventure welcomed the all-new Smokejumpers Grill. This new quick-service location is the first phase of the Grizzly Peak Airfield addition to this land, in the space formerly known as Condor Flats. As you can see in these photos, Smokejumpers Grill honors the brave men and women who fight wildfires in our California forests. In fact, did you know a smoke jumper is a firefighter who parachutes in to the site of a forest fire?  All the decorations give a nod to those brave heros. Below, the letter serves as a  back story for the Smokejumpers Grill.

Before and after – Curtiss-Wright wall mural

Before: an 8.5′ x 50′ mural, maybe 30 years old. The paint was peeling and faded, and the client had an ownership change. It’s clear, it’s time for a change.

After carefully scraping and wire-brushing the old paint. The entire sign area was then washed with a TSP solution and painted with three coats of white for the background.

Recent work: Mt. San Jacinto College gym MVP rosters updates

Our client has these MVP rosters in their gym that we painted a few years ago. Here’s the kind of work that gets done during Christmas break, when there’s nobody in the gym: two names for each of the two previous years, on each of these 11 sports. Here’s how they look:
